Graham Northwest Inc. is a growing, mission oriented, results-driven company with a 10 - year history of residential home construction in both the spec and custom markets. We have a particular specialty with ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms) and Energy Efficient home construction. We are looking for a qualified Construction Site Superintendent to manage on-site project in King and South Snohomish Counties.
Site Superintendent
Overview
The Site Superintendent will provide on-site administrative and technical management throughout the construction process.
This position manages the home building process at various home sites in one or more communities to ensure that the homes are built to appropriate specifications while maintaining a high level of quality. The individual coordinates the work of subcontractors to make sure each home is completed in a timely fashion and company requirements are achieved.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
· Understand building process of new home construction
· Supervision of all field operations
· Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with individuals, clients, building inspectors, architects, labor, and subcontractors
· Be very familiar with local codes and inspection requirements
and ensure all code requirements are met
· Supervise and instruct temporary and new employees
· Ensure understanding of production schedule with subcontractors
· Ensure high level conformance to construction specifications
· Maintain safe, clean, and organized working environment.
· Handle deadlines and changes on short notice with complete flexibility
· Make on-site decisions as to whether a process or product meets company expectations.
· Supervise the job site on a daily basis with assistance of company personnel.
· Make daily site decisions to produce a quality home, customer satisfaction, and maintain company mission statement
· Prepare daily log of construction activities for office submittal
· Conducts walking inspection of homes daily
· Consults with architect, engineer, builder, options coordinator, trade contractors and clients on plan revisions and change orders
· Implements safety program for employees and sub contractors, insuring adherence to all UOSHA regulations
· Explains quality standards and supervises construction to insure standards are met
· Receives, inspects and verifies deliveries and approves invoices
· Communicates with builder, and Client Services Manager to insure expectations are met
· Conducts pre-closing walk through with client, Customer Service and Warranty Coordinators
· Insure punch list items are completed
Knowledge Experience and Skill Requirements:
· Must have several years of experience, with exceptional knowledge in residential construction
· Must have supervisory experience with high level carpentry skills
· Ability to read and understand architectural and mechanical plans
· Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and problem solving skills
· Excellent leadership and management skills
· Computer knowledge and aptitude is essential
· Competent knowledge of Construction project scheduling and Sub Contractor team building
· Must have Vehicle and basic tools needed for required dutie
